The adoption of this ordinance is necessary to promote the health, safety, convenience, and general welfare of the citizens of Gautier, Mississippi and to assist in bringing about co-ordinated, efficient and economical development of the city. There exist a need for this ordinance developed in accordance a comprehensive plan of economical and physical development and designed to less congestion in the streets; to secure safety from fire, panic and other dangers; to promote health and the general welfare; to provide adequate light and air; to prevent the overcrowding of land; to avoid undue concentration of population to facilitate the adequate provision of transportation water, sewage, schools, parks and other public requirements. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its enactment in the manner as required by law. The mayor declared this ordinance adopted this the 7th day of June, 1988. |
